- As part of ZABA Therapy's agreement with the office of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic (Despacho Primera Dama), Dr Zwicker trained parents of children with autism and the staff who work with them at CAID (Centro de Atencion Intergral para La Discapacidad) in Santiago to implement early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) for young children with autism as well as focused intensive behavioral interventions for older children on August 6th & 7th.

- Dr Zwicker also delivered the keynote address at a conference on applied neuroscience on August 8th in Santiago, Dominican Republic entitled: Parent-led intensive behavioral intervention is the key to reduced behavioral problems and significantly improved developmental outcomes.
Dr Zwicker used the address to propose the development and large-scale experimental evaluation of a parent-delivered EIBI model in the Dominican Republic. Currently, he is working with CAID to develop the pilot evaluation that will be transitioned to the large-scale experimental evaluation. The model makes use of telehealth, online data collection through Catalyst®, and includes components to reduce the gap in expertise to oversee EIBI services over time.
Dr Zwicker is donating all the time spent on this effort as well as devices and expenses needed to use Catalyst® for data collection by participating parents.
